CLAY MORTENSEN
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Clay Mortensen, a Nashville native, holds a BFA in Film and a Masters in Leadership and Public Service from Lipscomb University. With nearly a decade of experience in the film and animation industry, Clay specializes in production, operations, and story development. He played a pivotal role in launching Tennessee's first state-incentivized animated children’s program.
Clay continues to write for animated shows and helps run the Animators of Tennessee Association, helping to foster a vibrant community of animators, writers, and production specialists across the state. Clay's conviction that every story holds significance fuels his passion for storytelling and community building. He aims to highlight the stories of Tennessee’s remarkable leaders - past, present, and future.
At home, Clay’s craftsmanship is evident in the handmade furniture that fills his space. In fact, most of his furniture has been built by his own two hands. He believes in the importance of having a hands-on hobby, with woodworking being his favorite. In addition to building furniture, he enjoys oil painting, reading, and pickleball. Clay and his wife, Olivia, married in May 2022, are happily enjoying their early years of marriage. Him and his wife feel a deep responsibility to care for their home state of Tennessee. They are committed to sowing where they reap, fostering community growth, and contributing to the well-being of their fellow Tennesseans.
